Hi, Iām Christa!
I am a Veteran and the founder of Sacred Trail Therapy. I believe healing involves more than understanding what happened to us; it also involves understanding how those experiences continue to live within us.
I earned my master's degree in social work from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2015. My early career included community-based nonprofit work, supporting Veterans, and working alongside Equine Assisted Therapies. In 2018, I stepped away from that work to pursue a lifestyle change in Colorado. Living in the mountains has brought its own challenges, adventures, and quiet lessons that continue to shape how I show up in both my life and my work.
Today, I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Colorado working under clinical supervision while pursuing my LCSW. Continued education and supervision are very important to me. They allow me to deepen my skills, stay grounded in ethical and evidence-based care, and continue growing as a therapist. I am EMDR trained and regularly pursue additional education in trauma, nervous system regulation, and somatic approaches.
I integrate EMDR, nervous system-informed therapy, and somatic approaches to help clients navigate trauma, anxiety, grief, stress, and life transitions. Together, we explore not only what has happened in your life, but also how those experiences may continue to influence your emotions, relationships, and sense of self. My goal is to help clients build greater awareness, regulation, and resilience while creating space for meaningful and lasting change.
Clients often come to me feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying too much on their own. Together, we work to build safety, resilience, and self-trust while creating space for meaningful and lasting change. My goal is to offer a compassionate, collaborative, and confidential space where you can show up as you are and move forward at a pace that feels right for you.
